Retirement communities have a mission emphasizing the importance of providing quality care and compassion for their residents and seniors. The challenge from a brand development perspective is to identify the unique elements of the brand and effectively position them in the market. For each of our senior living clients, in-depth research was conducted to articulate what sets their service apart and makes it most suitable for residents and their families. It is crucial to examine the internal culture of each community in order to express their brand effectively. I study their service attitudes and directly gather feedback from residents and their families to better understand what makes a community and its brand effective. Then, I developed a brand strategy focused on the web design tailored to each retirement community that aligns with its values and can be consistently demonstrated in its daily service to residents.
The branding process for a logo redesign for a senior living home is an opportunity to revitalize the brand's visual identity. The logo was carefully evaluated and infused with a blend of traditional and modern elements to create a timeless and sophisticated logo.
The incorporation of a bird as a classic design element is inspired by the facility's numerous gardens, birdlife, and bird-themed artwork. The typography was adjusted to resemble emblems or crests, maintaining a traditional feel while incorporating modern typography. My goal was to preserve the brand's heritage while incorporating contemporary design elements, resulting in a logo that resonates with residents, staff, and families.
Throughout the logo redesign process, the new logo was smoothly integrated into the web design and branding. The visual elements and color schemes of the logo served as the basis for the overall web design, guaranteeing a consistent and unified appearance across all branding materials. The website's design elements mirrored the modern and sophisticated features of the logo, resulting in a coherent brand identity that connects with the intended audience.
